North Face Outdoor Gear Review: The Most Comfortable Shoes On Earth

North Face Outdoor Gear Review: The Most Comfortable Shoes On Earth

As you all know, I love outdoor gear. Particularly the non-hideous and colorful. Outdoor gear is essential for me when I go adventuring in Finland, ice climbing in Finland or abseiling down waterfalls. Depending on the weather, I want to be sure that I am dry, protected, and comfortable. Millets offered me the opportunity to try their new North Face outdoor gear. I accepted the challenge.

I chose a pair of shoes, a jacket, and fleece that they graciously gave to me. I had never owned a North Face product before this, but I had heard good things about them, so I was eager to try out their products on some good, muddy terrain in Ireland. Let me now tell you about my experience with my new outdoor gear and whether I would recommend them to others for future adventures.

North Face Gear Review: What Did I Think?

Women’s Hedgehog Fastpack Goretex Shoe

These walking runners were my choice because I already own a few pairs. Because I don’t have enough space to carry normal runners and walking boots, I wanted to try out walking runners. These are neutral colors, so I can wear them like normal runners and won’t need to bring another pair.

It would be best if you broke in your walking boots as soon as you get them. It’s not enough to just put the boots on and expect them to feel comfortable. To avoid blisters and bleeding, you’ll need to test them before going on your next hike. These babies are not like that. They felt so light that I could walk on them from the moment I put them on. They were never uncomfortable.

They are the most comfortable shoes that I have ever worn, and I kept saying to everyone. They fit perfectly right out of the box. It’s probably the Vibram soles. As I said, I hoped I could wear them as everyday runners, which I was able to do. They were not required to be removed at security, as I would have had to if they were hiking boots.

They were black, so they went well with jeans and leggings while I was exploring the city. These shoes, which I called hedgehog, were perfect for walking in all weather conditions. They were waterproof and could withstand rain, snow, ice and even sand. The Gore-Tex was perfect for the job!

ANYWAY, I highly recommend them if you’re looking for a new pair of walking/hiking/outdoor boots. They are quite expensive at PS110 (EUR125), but they are still very affordable compared to other brands and hiking boots. They are also very comfortable and affordable.

Women’s Quest Waterproof Jacket Pink

I LOVE a colorful jacket. A lightweight, waterproof jacket is more practical than a heavy, padded one. It’s easy to pack and great for layering. It can be used in hot and cold environments, which is great for traveling. It’s not a seasonal item.

It was all I needed underneath. It was waterproof and kept me dry. I also didn’t feel any wind, as you would expect from a waterproof jacket. I loved the elasticized sleeves. They are much more user-friendly than Velcro.

Women’s 100 Glacier Half Zip Fleece (Black).

A full-zip fleece is my preferred choice. It’s easier to get on and off, and more ventilation. These fleeces are available from North Face, but I only have two of the half-zip ones. One in black, one in bright blue. These are great to wear under a down jacket or waterproof jacket in cold environments. My own has been worn in Peru, Finland and Ireland on the Inca Trail. It’s been nearly seven years since I bought it. At around PS45.00 (EUR50), that’s a pretty good price. The simple logo and high collar keep you toasty are my favorites. The length of the sleeves was perfect for me, 5’8″ tall. I ordered the Large size. These fleeces are small in size. You can always go up a size if you prefer a looser fit. Maybe it’s because I have huge boobs. This is the only negative aspect of this fleece. It’s an incredibly handy item to have in the backpack/suitcase/wardrobe, and I’m happy to recommend it.
