What are the Best Fleece Jackets for You?

The temperature is now below 70 degrees. This means that it’s officially fleece season. We asked 15 fashion bloggers, stylists, editors, writers, and journalists about their favourite options. They included Patagonias and the new season’s stylish jackets. First, let’s talk about the timeless appeal of fall’s fuzziest jacket.

Dominique Pariso

So, I’m kind of surprised at my conversion to fleeces. High school was a place where everyone had North Face Denali.

Jordan Bowman: I always wanted one.

D.P. And I didn’t. After college, I moved to New England. Everyone had a fleece. I survived four cold winters without one. Last year, however, I finally bought a Uniqlo one.

J.B. – My first fleece was also Uniqlo. It was great, but I upgraded to the Patagonia Snap T fleece last year. It’s so much better. It’s the perfect combination of style and functionality. It is super-warm, looks great, and most importantly, cosy. These ASMR-style snaps are so fun to take apart, which is why they got their name. It’s clothing’s version of popping bubble wrap. Is fleece now “cool”?

DP Sandy Liang made fleece fashionable again. A million retailers now follow suit. While many women still recommend the traditional Patagonia and North Face fleeces, there is also the desire for the warmth of a fleece with more style. You can add a teddy coat to some of these or update the fleece with different shapes. Fleeces are compatible with pandemic comfort wear.

J.B. These are for real, like sweatpants covering your upper body. Some people will say, “Just buy a sweater,” which is fine. But, when the wind starts to blow, a sweatshirt won’t hold up (or keep you warm) as well as a classic fleece. This is the perfect transitional piece for fall to winter.
